Project 2030 publications, 1997-1999.

Publications produced mainly in the initial two-year planning process (1997-1998) of Project 2030, during which staff analyzed the facts and figures associated with the state's changing demographics and presented them to over 3000 Minnesotans through a broad range of public and private groups and organizations around the state in an attempt to assess what the impact of the aging baby boomers will be on the social, health, and financial structures of the state. Included are the final report on the planning process, a briefing book, symposium and roundtable data, and research and data reports. There are also three issues papers written in 1999.

The Minnesota Board on Aging (MBA) was founded in 1956 to provide information on services to seniors in Minnesota. The board has 25 members appointed by the governor. By working with Area Agencies, MBA proposes solutions to concerns of the elderly. Another responsibility of the MBA is to manage the funds of the Older American Act.
